Eagles and Vikings defences star in NFL plays of the week

For all the superstar names in the NFL, an extraordinary Sunday of week three was dominated by the more unheralded kickers and back-up quarterbacks.

Incredibly, five games were settled on the last play – four thanks to field goals, including a huge upset win for the Cleveland Browns against the Green Bay Packers.

The Los Angeles Rams had a last-gasp field goal blocked by the Philadelphia Eagles and returned for a touchdown as the Super Bowl champions produced a huge comeback victory to remain unbeaten.

Back-up quarterbacks had a day too, with Mac Jones steering the San Francisco 49ers to a 3-0 start, while familiar faces Carson Wentz and Marcus Mariota led blowout wins for the Minnesota Vikings and the Washington Commanders respectively.

The Rams dominated and led 26-7 in Philadelphia before the Eagles engineered their biggest home comeback since 1988, with Jalen Hurts finally being let off the leash in the second half as he threw his first touchdown passes of the season.

Special teams made the difference, though, as the Eagles blocked two fourth-quarter field goal attempts.

The second was a heartbreaker on the last kick of the game to win it for the Rams, as Jordan Davis not only blocked it but returned it 61 yards for a touchdown.

At 336lb, he is the heaviest player to do so, and was clocked at 18.59mph by the NFL’s Next Gen Stats.

However unlikely it seemed at stages, the Eagles moved to 3-0 and have won 19 of their past 20 games.

Browns leave it late to beat Packers

Green Bay led 10-0 with less than four minutes left in Cleveland before another wild ending helped the Browns win their first game of the season and end an eight-game losing run.

  • Russell Wilson: There are tough moments, you have to have thick skin

Russell Wilson: There are tough moments, you have to have thick skin

When the Giants traded back into the first round to select quarterback Jaxson Dart in April, the clock started on making him their starting quarterback.

Giants fans at MetLife Stadium made it clear on Sunday night that they are ready for the future to start now. Dart came into the game to play three snaps and his return to the sideline so Russell Wilson could re-enter the game led to boos from the home crown.

There were other moments of booing the offense in a 22-9 loss that dropped the Giants to 0-3 on the season. Head coach Brian Daboll made no suggestion that a quarterback change is coming and Wilson shared his own response to the negative reactions.

“Yeah, there are highs and lows and always tough moments,” Wilson said, via a transcript from the team. “You know, you got to have thick skin, you know what I mean? You got to be able to know who you are, the player that you are, know what you’re capable of. Obviously I’ve been able to show that throughout my career and obviously last week and everything else, too, what we’re capable of as an offense. I think they made a couple more plays than us today. I think it was a 9-6 game for most of the game. Pretty tight. We needed one or two big plays. Unfortunately didn’t come our way.”

Wilson and the Giants offense put up a lot of points in Dallas in Week 2, but they did not score a touchdown Sunday night or in their Week 1 loss to the Commanders. That’s more than being one or two plays away and those performances are going to make it harder for the Giants to stay on their current course for much longer.

  • Report: James Conner’s ankle injury will require season-ending surgery

Report: James Conner’s ankle injury will require season-ending surgery

Cardinals running back James Conner was carted off with a right ankle injury in the third quarter Sunday. It looked bad, and it appears it is bad.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the injury will require season-ending surgery, though further medical testing Monday will provide the full extent of the damage.

Coach Jonathan Gannon said after the 16-15 loss to the 49ers that he didn’t know the severity of the injury.

Conner, 30, was injured on a 1-yard run when Jordan Elliott and Marques Sigle tackled him with 12:26 remaining.

He had nine carries for 22 yards.

Conner is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and signed a two-year extension in November 2024, and his $3.64 million base salary for this year is guaranteed for injury.

Sizzling Summer Playbook at Malina: Boost Your Wins with Hot Bonuses

The online gambling market heats up each summer, and players look for platforms that combine variety, speed, and rewarding offers. Malina delivers on all three fronts. Established in 2021, https://casino-malina-uk.com/ holds a Gaming Board of Anjouan license and serves a UK‑focused audience. The site boasts 8000+ games from 47 providers, covering slots, live dealer tables, and a full‑scale sports betting hub.

Key strengths include rapid crypto withdrawals, a tiered VIP program, and welcome plus reload bonuses that keep bankrolls healthy. Data shows that fast‑payout casinos attract 35 % more repeat players than slower rivals. Malina’s average withdrawal time of 15 minutes for crypto beats the industry average of 48 hours.

This playbook outlines market conditions, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations for players who want to maximise summer fun on the platform. By the end, you’ll know how to pick the right games, use the VIP ladder, and avoid common pitfalls that drain enjoyment.

    Market Overview

Summer traditionally spikes online casino traffic by 22 % in the UK. Players chase new releases, holiday promotions, and the lure of live dealer action while on vacation. In this climate, online casino operators that combine depth of content with speedy payouts capture the most attention.

Malina’s catalogue of 8000+ games places it in the top quartile of game variety. The mix includes high‑RTP slots, progressive jackpots, and live dealer tables that stream in HD. Sports bettors also benefit from a dedicated betting pane covering football, tennis, and e‑sports.

A recent industry survey revealed three player pain points:

    1. Limited game selection – 41 % quit after finding only a few titles they liked.
    2. Slow withdrawals – 37 % cited delays as a major frustration.
    3. Unclear loyalty rewards – 22 % felt VIP schemes were hard to understand.

Malina addresses each issue directly. Its extensive library solves the first problem. Crypto‑enabled withdrawals average 15 minutes, tackling the second. The VIP program provides clear milestones, from Bronze to Diamond, with transparent perks such as cash‑back, exclusive tournaments, and personal account managers.

What if you could enjoy a summer of nonstop wins while the temperature rises outside? The platform’s mobile‑first design ensures that you can play slots, watch live dealer games, or place a sports bet from any device, keeping the action fluid wherever you are.

    Key Metrics & Performance

    Metric Malina Industry Average
    Game count 8,000+ 3,200
Avg. crypto withdrawal time 15 min 48 h
    Welcome bonus value £/€ 200 + 100 free spins £ 150 + 50 free spins
    VIP tier levels 5 (Bronze‑Diamond) 3 (Silver‑Gold‑Platinum)
Live dealer stream quality 1080p HD 720p HD

The table highlights Malina’s edge in volume and speed.

    Further data points:

    • Player retention – 68 % of new registrants stay active after 30 days, compared with 52 % across the sector.
    • Average RTP – 96.3 % across slots, slightly above the 95 % industry norm.
    • Betting volume – Sports betting accounts for 28 % of total wagers, showing a balanced split between casino games and sports action.

These figures suggest that the platform not only draws users but also keeps them engaged through generous returns and swift payouts.

Ready to turn a casual spin into a big payout? Leveraging the high‑RTP slots and the fast‑withdrawal system can turn modest wins into withdrawable cash before the summer heat fades.

    Comparative Benchmarks

When choosing a summer casino, players often compare three core areas: game variety, payout speed, and loyalty rewards. Below is a concise benchmark that places Malina side‑by‑side with a typical competitor.

    Feature Malina Typical Competitor
Game library 8,000+ titles 3,200 titles
    Crypto withdrawal time 15 min 48 h
VIP program clarity Tiered, point‑based, transparent Vague, point‑only
Live dealer quality 1080p HD, 24/7 chat 720p, limited hours
    Mobile app rating (iOS/Android) 4.6 ★ 4.1 ★

Why does this matter? A larger library means more chances to find a personal favourite. Faster withdrawals keep winnings liquid, which is crucial for players who prefer to reinvest or cash out quickly. Clear VIP tiers give a roadmap for earning extra value, while high‑definition live dealer streams enhance immersion.

    Key Takeaways

    • Diversify: Use the 8000+ games to rotate between slots, live tables, and sports bets.
    • Capitalize on speed: Withdraw crypto as soon as you hit a win to avoid temptation to chase losses.
    • Climb the VIP ladder: Every £ 100 wager earns points that unlock cash‑back and exclusive promos.

These actions collectively boost the summer gaming experience and protect the bankroll.

    Strategic Recommendations

To make the most of a sizzling summer on the platform, follow this concise playbook:

    1. Start with the welcome package – Claim the £/€ 200 bonus and 100 free spins before they expire (usually 7 days).
    2. Select high‑RTP slots – Target games with RTP ≥ 96 % such as Starburst or Mega Fortune to improve win probability.
    3. Engage the live dealer lobby – Play at tables that offer “Bet Behind” options; this lets you place bets while watching experienced players.
    4. Place a sports wager – Use the “Bet Builder” feature for football matches; it often yields higher odds than standard markets.
    5. Progress through the VIP program – Aim for the Silver tier within the first month by wagering £ 500. Benefits include 5 % cash‑back and priority support.
    6. Withdraw via crypto – When your balance reaches the minimum (£ 20), request a crypto payout to enjoy the 15‑minute turnaround.

    Responsible Gambling

Always set deposit limits before you start. If you feel the heat of the game turning into stress, use the built‑in self‑exclusion tool. Malina provides 24‑hour chat support to help you stay in control.

By adhering to these steps, players can enjoy a balanced blend of excitement, reward, and security throughout the summer months.

    Conclusion

Malina’s combination of an expansive 8000+ game library, lightning‑fast crypto withdrawals, and a transparent VIP program makes it a top choice for summer gaming. The data shows clear advantages over typical competitors, especially in payout speed and player retention.

Implement the outlined strategies, respect responsible gambling limits, and you’ll turn the season’s heat into a steady stream of wins. Enjoy the sun, the slots, the live dealer thrills, and the sports action—all on a platform built for fast, fair, and fun play.

  • Jadeveon Clowney arrested for trespassing days before signing deal with Cowboys, per report

Jadeveon Clowney arrested for trespassing days before signing deal with Cowboys, per report

NFL veteran Jadeveon Clowney, who recently signed with the Dallas Cowboys, was arrested Sept. 12 in his hometown of Rock Hill, South Carolina, on misdemeanor charges of trespassing and failure to identify.

Clowney said he plans to fight the arrest and says it was a “big misunderstanding” and “frustrating.”

According to a report by WSOC, authorities claim that Clowney, 32, was trying to park in a lot that was not open to parking. Despite being informed that he was not allowed to park in the lot, Clowney allegedly did so anyway. No further details about Clowney’s arrest were immediately available.

The alleged incident occurred three days before Clowney’s signing was announced by the Cowboys.

Clowney, the 2014 No. 1 pick and a three-time Pro Bowler, signed a one-year deal with Cowboys to give them pass rushing depth following the trade of Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers. Clowney spent last season with the Carolina Panthers, registering 46 tackles, nine tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.

Cowboys’ Jadeveon Clowney claims to have ‘a lot’ left in tank; what made pass rusher choose Dallas?

    Garrett Podell

Clowney told reporters Monday he believes he still has “a lot” left in the tank as he enters his 12th NFL season. Joining the Cowboys, who are 1-1 heading into Sunday’s road game with the Chicago Bears, was an attractive opportunity.

“I like the secondary. I like that they got Kenny Clark for the inside. I said, ‘I think I can help their team,’” Clowney said. “They just needed some edge rushers, and I…
