Why Steelers insider believes team is ‘definitely better’ after massive trade for Jalen Ramsey, Jonnu Smith

Many questions have been swirling since the Pittsburgh Steelers pulled off a blockbuster trade with the Miami Dolphins that included the trade of perennial Pro Bowl safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to Miami in exchange for former All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey and Pro Bowl tight end Jonnu Smith.

Why did the Steelers trade Fitzpatrick, one of the team’s best players since the Steelers acquired him via a trade with (ironically) the Dolphins six years ago? Why did the Steelers trade for players who play positions they were seemingly already deep at? Does this make the Steelers a better team than the one they were before the deal went down?

To help find those answers, we enlisted the help of Jim Wexell, the founder of Steel City Insider and a 30-year veteran of the Steelers’ beat. While he acknowledged Fitzpatrick’s obvious attributes, Wexell feels the Steelers are “definitely better” now than they were before the trade went down.

“They got two very good players for a very good player,” Wexell said. “Obviously, the Dolphins wanted a little more, so they got the fifth-rounder and traded a seventh-rounder. I guess there were some money considerations, too. I have no idea how this ties into T.J. Watt. … You now don’t have a deep free safety who’s an All-Pro. You’ve got to get to the quarterback faster.”

Despite recent reports, Wexell does not believe the Steelers will trade Watt. As far as…

  • Brian Branch: Lions feel invincible on defense

Brian Branch: Lions feel invincible on defense

The Lions fell short of their goal last season, but safety Brian Branch believes their experience in 2024 sets them up well for success in 2025.

Branch made the Pro Bowl after playing in 16 regular season games and that availability made him an outlier on the team’s defense. Defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, linebacker Alex Anzalone, defensive tackle Alim McNeill and several other defensive players missed time with injuries that left the team scrambling to fill out the unit at times.

The group still played well enough for the Lions to earn the top seed and Branch said going through those tribulations has left the unit feeling more confident about the future.

“We went through the ups and downs,” Branch said to Rainer Sabin of the Detroit Free Press. “We fought together in tough games. We have been in a game where it depended on us to win. So, it just makes everybody buy in. Once you have a group that has bought in and has gone through trials and tribulations, we feel invincible.”

Branch said he feels “we’re better than last year” and the test of that will come when we find out if their stay in the playoffs lasts longer than one game this time around.

Lions DB Brian Branch says past adversity has team feeling ‘invincible,’ ready for breakthrough in 2025 season

    Getty Images

The Detroit Lions’ 2024 regular season was rather magic, but a franchise-record 15 wins and team records in points per game (33.2) and point differential (+222) weren’t enough to get the Lions out of the divisional round of the playoffs. Detroit became the second 15-win team in NFL history to lose its playoff home opener in an 45-31 upset vs. Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders. For the second year in a row, the Lions dropped the ball in the playoffs, and it’s now a narrative that this team will have to dispel in 2025.

Lions Pro Bowl defensive back Brian Branch believes Detroit is ready to go far in the playoffs this upcoming season. The Lions have improved their win total in three straight reasons, and have the talent necessary to soon stand atop the NFL world.

“I feel like we’re better than last year,” Branch told the Detroit Free Press. “We’re hungry, and I feel that’s gonna separate us. Our chemistry is on a whole ‘nother level.”

Branch also believes the adversity the Lions have faced over the past couple seasons will pay dividends in the end.

“We went through the ups and downs,” Branch said. “We fought together in tough games. We have been in a game where it depended on us to win. So, it just makes everybody buy in. Once you have a group that has bought in and has gone through trials and tribulations, we feel invincible.”

While the Lions didn’t lose much in free agency, they did lose both offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to coaching gigs. Both leaders were the architects of their respective sides of the ball, and it remains to be seen if new offensive coordinator John Morton and new defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard can replace what they brought to…

  • Mastering Bankroll Management for Sports Betting Success at Superbet

Mastering Bankroll Management for Sports Betting Success at Superbet

A betting bankroll is simply the money you set aside for wagering. It should never mix with rent, groceries, or any daily expenses. Start by deciding how much you can comfortably lose without affecting your lifestyle. Once you have that figure, split it into smaller units called “stakes.” For most beginners, a 1‑2 % stake per bet works well.

When you bet, treat each wager as a test of strategy, not a gamble on luck. Record every bet in a spreadsheet or a notebook. Include the sport, market, stake, odds, and result. This habit helps you spot patterns and adjust your approach.

    Key points to remember:

    • Set a fixed bankroll before you log in.
    • Use only a small percentage of the bankroll per bet.
    • Keep detailed records of every wager.

By following these basics, you lay a solid foundation that protects you from rapid losses and prepares you for more advanced techniques.

Common Pitfalls and How Superbet Helps You Avoid Them

Many new bettors make the same mistakes: chasing losses, betting on every game, or ignoring odds value. Chasing is especially dangerous because it forces you to increase stakes when you’re already down, eroding your bankroll faster than any winning streak can rebuild it.

Superbet tackles these issues with a suite of player‑friendly tools. The platform’s real‑time system monitoring shows you live website status, so you never place a bet on a laggy or unstable server. Their infrastructure test page displays the latest deployment date, giving confidence that the site runs on the newest, most secure software.

Additionally, Superbet offers a generous welcome bonus that can boost your initial bankroll without demanding high wagering requirements. This extra cushion lets you experiment with stakes while keeping your personal funds safe.

Remember to set loss limits within the casino’s responsible‑gaming hub. Superbet’s live chat support can also walk you through limit settings, ensuring you never exceed the budget you defined.

Advanced Strategies to Stretch Your Betting Budget

Once you’ve mastered the basics, it’s time to add a layer of strategy that stretches every pound further. One effective method is value betting – finding odds that are higher than the true probability of an outcome. To spot value, compare the bookmaker’s odds with independent statistical models or reputable tipsters.

Another powerful tool is bet sizing based on confidence. Instead of a flat 1 % stake, increase the stake slightly (e.g., 1.5 %) on bets where your research shows a clear edge, and drop back to 0.5 % when the edge is thin. This flexible approach guards your bankroll while capitalizing on strong opportunities.

Superbet’s fast withdrawal system ensures that any winnings you lock in are available quickly, often within 24 hours. This rapid access lets you reinvest profits without waiting days for funds to clear.

When you’re ready to test these tactics, try the site’s free‑spin promotion on selected slots. While not directly related to sports betting, the extra cash can act as a bankroll buffer, letting you focus on betting without the pressure of dipping into your core funds.

Leveraging Superbet’s Tools: Bonuses, Mobile Play, and Speed

Superbet stands out thanks to its high‑speed payouts, mobile‑first design, and robust bonus program. Players can withdraw winnings via e‑wallets, credit cards, or bank transfers, with most methods completing in under 48 hours. Speed matters because it lets you chase winning streaks without cash flow delays.

The platform’s mobile app mirrors the desktop experience perfectly. You can place live bets, check odds, and monitor your bankroll on the go. This flexibility is crucial for modern bettors who watch games on multiple devices.

Below is a quick comparison of key features you’ll find on Superbet versus a typical online casino:

    Feature Superbet Typical Casino
Withdrawal Speed 24‑48 hrs (most methods) 3‑5 days (bank transfers)
Welcome Bonus Up to £200 + free spins Up to £100, higher wagering
Mobile Experience Full‑featured app & site Limited mobile support
Licensing & Security UK Gambling Commission Varies, often offshore
Live Support 24/7 chat & phone Business hours only

Take advantage of the free‑spin bonus on the first deposit. While it’s a casino feature, the extra credits can be converted to cash after meeting modest wagering requirements, giving you extra play money for your sports bets.

Monitoring Your Progress: System Monitoring and Infrastructure Insights

A reliable betting environment starts with solid technical infrastructure. Superbet’s system monitoring dashboard offers real‑time data on server health, latency, and uptime. This transparency reassures you that your bets are placed on a stable platform, especially during high‑traffic events like the Premier League or major tournaments.

The site’s infrastructure test page displays the latest deployment date, confirming that the platform runs on the newest software stack. Regular server deployment updates mean faster page loads, smoother live‑betting streams, and reduced risk of downtime.

By keeping an eye on these technical cues, you can time your wagers for moments when the site performs best, avoiding potential lag that might affect bet confirmation.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much should I start with for a sports‑betting bankroll?
A: A common recommendation is to begin with at least £100‑£200, depending on your comfort level. This amount allows you to place multiple small‑stake bets while still having a cushion for inevitable losses.

Q: How fast are withdrawals from Superbet?
A: Most e‑wallet withdrawals are processed within a few hours, while card and bank transfers usually complete in 24‑48 hours.

Q: Are the free spins on the casino side useful for sports betting?
A: They can be. After converting free‑spin winnings to cash, you’ll have extra bankroll to fund your sports bets without touching your original deposit.

Q: What does the infrastructure test page tell me?
A: It shows the latest deployment date and server status, confirming that Superbet runs on up‑to‑date, secure technology, which helps ensure smooth betting experiences.

  • Tyler Boyd would welcome a chance to play for the Steelers

Tyler Boyd would welcome a chance to play for the Steelers

Tyler Boyd is a Pittsburgh native. He played college football at Pitt. After nine NFL seasons, he’d like to continue his pro career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“Absolutely,” Boyd told Pittsburgh Sports Now on Saturday, via Bryan DeArdo of CBSSports.com. “You know, all my family is here. I’d be able to have the majority of them be able to support me.”

He expressed interest in signing with the Steelers a year ago, after eight seasons with the Bengals. He landed with the Titans instead.

Boyd is once again making it known he’d like to come home.

“I’m real cool with [coach Mike] Tomlin,” Boyd said. “He’s always been a good person. . . . When I was at Pitt, we had a good relationship. After practice, I’d walk over there, talk to [Antonio Brown] and those guys, talk to Tomlin, and he’d just pick at different things, where I could get better and get some guidance. I think we had a great friendship.”

The Steelers could use another veteran receiver. They haven’t added one since trading George Pickens to the Cowboys in May.

Boyd had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in 2018-19. In 16 games last year with the Titans, he had only 39 catches for 390 yards.

Newcomers for 2025 are DK Metcalf and Robert Woods. Calvin Austin III will be expected to step up. And the Steelers are hoping to get something/anything from 2024 third-rounder Roman Wilson in his second season.

NFL free agency: Veteran receiver says he is ‘absolutely’ interested in possibly signing with the Steelers

For a second consecutive year, Tyler Boyd has publicly expressed interest in playing for his hometown team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, who could use some help at receiver after they traded George Pickens to the Cowboys in early May.

A Pittsburgh native, the 30-year-old Boyd reportedly had discussions about a possible homecoming with the Steelers last offseason before signing a one-year deal with the Titans. A longtime Cincinnati Bengal, Boyd caught just 39 passes for 390 yards during his lone season in Nashville.

“Absolutely,” Boyd told Pittsburgh Sports Now at his youth camp on Saturday. “You know, all my family is here. I’d be able to have the majority of them be able to support me.”

Boyd feels that signing with the Steelers is a realistic possibility. While he said that things have been quiet lately, Boyd noted that he expects to hear from teams once training camps start to open up next month.

“I’m real cool with [Mike] Tomlin,” he said. “He’s always been a good person. … When I was at Pitt, we had a good relationship. After practice, I’d walk over there, talk to [Antonio Brown] and those guys, talk to Tomlin, and he’d just pick at different things, where I could get better and get some guidance. • Rams’ Jared Verse says Eagles have best opposing fan base after saying he hates them

Rams’ Jared Verse says Eagles have best opposing fan base after saying he hates them

Jared Verse of the Los Angeles Rams made his feelings about Philadelphia Eagles fans known in January telling Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times, “I hate Eagles fans. They’re so annoying. I hate Eagles fans.”

The Eagles and their fans got the last laugh days later when Philadelphia beat the Rams with a 28-22 victory to advance to the NFC Championship game. Verse would record four tackles, three for loss and two sacks in the defeat.

Now after experiencing Eagles fans as an NFL rookie, Verse, who lived a few hours north of Philadelphia during his high school playing days, is showing respect to one of the league’s most boisterous fan bases.

In an interview with Casey Rieger of Whistle Sports this week, Verse said that the Eagles are the best opposing fan base and have the toughest crowd to play in front of at Lincoln Financial Field.

“I’ve got to give them that,” Verse said. “It’s just because I like when you kind of get into it, you’re aggressive, you’re loud. They stand by that with no doubt.”

“Playing the Eagles is like playing your rival in college because you never know what they’re going to say and they’re going to try to say disrespectful stuff,” Verse said. “Don’t get me wrong, they’re not going to say anything where it’s like, ‘Bro, you crossed the line.’ But they’re going to say something where you’re like, ‘Hey, who you talking to?’”

Verse expressing respect won’t change the minds of any Eagles fans when they see one another again. The two sides won’t have to wait long to get reacquainted. The Week 3 schedule for the upcoming season will see the Rams visit Philadelphia for the first time since their playoff matchup.

Despite his battles with Eagles fans, it was a fruitful rookie season for the 24-year-old Verse. After being selected 19th overall out of Florida State in the 2024 draft, the linebacker went on to win NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and earn his first trip to the Pro Bowl.

  • Mastering Video Dating for Seamless Pet Introductions and Real‑World Chemistry

Mastering Video Dating for Seamless Pet Introductions and Real‑World Chemistry

Finding love today means more than swiping right on a photo. Many singles wonder how to bring their furry friends into the mix without turning romance into chaos. The frustration grows when profiles hide crucial details like “I own a Labrador” or “I’m allergic to cats.” This mismatch often leads to awkward first meetings where you discover your date can’t handle your four‑legged companion—or worse, you end up canceling because the pet factor was never discussed.

Problem‑solution: If you’re tired of shallow swiping that ignores your pet’s needs, try a service that blends deep compatibility matching with built‑in video dates — enter www picards.us. The platform’s robust matching algorithm weighs lifestyle habits, including pet ownership, so you connect with people who truly fit your household before any face‑to‑face encounter.

Why Traditional Swipes Miss the Mark

Most dating apps rank matches by looks alone. That approach works when users share similar hobbies or careers, but it falls short for animal lovers who need partners comfortable around their companions. A study of online daters shows that 40% of pet owners quit an app after their first “real life” meetup went wrong because their date reacted poorly to their dog’s excitement at the door.

The core issue isn’t lack of interest—it’s missing data points in profiles and limited communication tools before an in‑person date. When you cannot see how a potential partner interacts with your cat through text alone, you gamble on chemistry that may never happen.

How Video Dating Bridges the Gap

Video chat has become a game changer for modern romance, especially when pets are part of daily life. With live video:

    • You can showcase your home environment safely.
    • Your dog or cat gets a cameo appearance before any physical meeting.
    • Body language and genuine smiles become visible—not just curated photos.

Picards.Us integrates secure video rooms directly into its messaging flow, letting members start conversations by sharing a quick “pet greeting.” The service also offers instant background blur so you protect privacy while still letting viewers see playful paws or whiskers in action.

Steps for a Successful First Video Date

1️⃣ Choose a quiet spot where your pet feels calm.

2️⃣ Test lighting so both faces are clear.

3️⃣ Keep treats handy—watch how your date reacts when your dog begs politely.

4️⃣ End with a brief recap: “I loved seeing how gently you spoke to my cat.”

These small actions tell you whether your future partner respects animal boundaries before committing to coffee at a café.

Expert Techniques for Introducing Pets – Dr Michael Chen’s Advice

Veterinarian behaviorist Dr Michael Chen stresses that timing and method matter most when merging romance with fur families. His research highlights three proven pet introduction techniques:

Technique When To Use Why It Works
Parallel Play After initial video chat Both parties watch each other interact from separate rooms first
Controlled Meeting First real‑world encounter Keep leashes ready & toys limited to reduce overstimulation
Shared Routine Demo Mid‑stage dating Show feeding schedule or bedtime ritual to prove reliability

Important: Never force an eager puppy onto someone who seems uneasy—watch body cues closely.

    Practical Example

Imagine Maya matched on Picards.Us because her profile listed “cat mom” alongside her love for hiking trails.

During their second video call she let her tuxedo cat stroll across screen while discussing favorite trail spots.

Maya noticed Alex smiled whenever Whiskers purred—a subtle sign he enjoys cats.

They agreed on a park walk where Whiskers rode in Maya’s carrier beside Alex’s bike helmet—a controlled setting that eased nerves for both.

Leveraging Picards.Us’s Matching Algorithm for Pet‑Friendly Matches

The platform’s secret sauce lies in its AI‑driven matching algorithm that scores users on over thirty lifestyle dimensions—including animal care style, allergy concerns, and preferred living arrangements (apartment vs house). When filling out the onboarding questionnaire:

    • Select “Dog owner” or “Cat enthusiast.”
    • Indicate willingness to meet other pets.
    • Rank importance of “Pet compatibility” on a scale from low to high.

The system then surfaces matches whose scores align closely with yours, dramatically cutting down trial-and-error dates.

    Success Story Snapshot

Emily joined Picards.Us after several failed attempts elsewhere.

Her profile highlighted her rescue golden retriever named Buddy.

Within three days she matched with Jake—a fellow dog lover who volunteers at shelters.

Their first video chat featured Buddy doing tricks while they exchanged travel stories.

A week later they met at an off‑leash dog park—both felt confident because Buddy had already approved Jake on screen.\

Safety First – Verification & Protecting Your Pets

Online romance brings genuine joy but also hidden risks—especially when animals are involved. Picардs.Us takes safety seriously through multi‑layered profile verification:

1️⃣ Government ID check confirms age and identity.

2️⃣ Photo comparison ensures pictures match official documents.

3️⃣ Optional background scan adds an extra layer of trustworthiness.

These steps cut down fake accounts dramatically—a claim backed by internal data showing >90% reduction in reported scams compared with non‑verified platforms.

Warning: Never arrange an immediate home visit without prior video interaction.

Meeting inside unfamiliar territory puts both you and* your pet at risk.

    Quick Safety Checklist

    • Keep initial meetings public (café or park).

    • Share live location with a friend during any offline meetup.

    • Let someone know which route you’ll take back home.

    • Have emergency contacts saved on phone—and consider microchipping pets beforehand.

By staying within these guidelines you protect personal data and safeguard beloved companions from unexpected stress.

Putting It All Together – Your Roadmap From Swipe to Snuggle

Below is an easy-to-follow plan that combines all concepts discussed:

1️⃣ Sign up at www picards.us and complete the detailed lifestyle questionnaire—including pet preferences.

  • 2️⃣ Upload clear photos showing yourself and any animals you regularly care for.

3️⃣ Review matches flagged as “high pet compatibility” by the AI engine.

4️⃣ Initiate conversation using built-in video rooms—let your cat wave hello!

5️⃣ Apply Dr Michael Chen’s techniques during virtual meetups.

6️⃣ Schedule controlled outdoor introductions once mutual comfort is established.

7️⃣ Continue building trust offline while keeping safety measures active.

    Final Thoughts

Dating while caring for beloved animals used to feel like walking through minefields blindfolded—but modern tech makes it smoother than ever. By choosing a service that values deep compatibility (Picards.Us) and leverages secure video dates, you gain insight into how potential partners treat your furry friends long before stepping through anyone’s front door.\n\nUse these strategies wisely, stay safe,\nand soon enough you’ll find someone who loves both you and your four‑legged family members. Happy matching!
