Patriots rookie OT says he played with torn ligament in knee during 2025 season

While the New England Patriots’ exceeded expectations this season, one notable player that didn’t was rookie offensive tackle Will Campbell, whose struggles contributed to the Patriots losing to the Seattle Seahawks in one of the worst offensive showings in Super Bowl history.

Less than 48 hours after Super Bowl LX, Campbell revealed to reporters that he played with a torn ligament in his knee during the season and was not 100% during the playoffs. That would help explain his highly-publicized struggles during the postseason that included allowing 14 pressures (a 26.9% pressure rate) and one of Seattle’s six sacks of Drake Maye in the Super Bowl.

“It comes with the job,” Campbell said of the outside criticism. “When you don’t perform, obviously, I was (drafted) high, paid a lot. So people expect a certain thing, and I expect more of myself. So whenever I don’t perform, I don’t expect everyone to be like, ‘It’s OK, buddy.’ I mean, obviously it sucks. But it doesn’t suck for anyone more than it sucks for me.”

After the Super Bowl, Campbell made more headlines after he declined to speak to the media, something that he apologized for on Tuesday.

“When I get emotional, I tend to have no mind,” he said. “And that’s not the way that I need to approach this thing. I know myself, and if I would have spoken after, I would have said something that I didn’t need to say.”

While Campbell didn’t have his best day against Seattle, he wasn’t the only Patriots’ offensive player who can make that claim. Specifically, it was a forgettable outing for Maye, whose three turnovers set up 17 of Seattle’s 29 points. Maye seemed tentative in terms of his decision-making until the game was already somewhat out of reach.

Maye was hoping to make history by becoming the youngest starting quarterback to win the Super Bowl. Instead, he made unwanted history by breaking Joe Burrow’s postseason record for times…

  • Four-star 2027 corner lists Ohio State among top schools

Four-star 2027 corner lists Ohio State among top schools

Things are about to start heating up for the Ohio State football team… and not just the weather.

While it may not look or feel like it now, spring is quickly approaching Columbus, Ohio, and that means Ryan Day and Ohio State’s coaching staff are about to get a lot busier.

In addition to spring practice, Ohio State will also be hosting recruiting camps soon, including the likes of the Spring Game. These recruiting camps are crucial for Day and the coaching staff when it comes to roster building.

The camps give the Buckeyes a great opportunity to identify recruits they believe have the traits to be future Buckeyes. It also gives the coaching staff a chance to build on relationships with recruits they are already interested in.

One of the recruits Ohio State is looking to add to its 2027 recruiting class is four-star cornerback Jaden Carey (Fort Lauderdale, FL / St. Thomas Aquinas) who Ohio State offered in spring of last year. It has been almost a year since the Buckeyes offered Carey, and the staff has used this time wisely.

Now, Carey views Ohio State as one of his top schools, naming them in his newly released top seven schools on Monday.

Alongside Ohio State, Carey also listed Florida, Auburn, Notre Dame, Miami, Oregon and Ole Miss in his top seven schools.

The Buckeyes have some stiff competition for Carey, and while there is no one school that seems to have an advantage over the others, Florida and Miami have taken advantage of the close proximity to Carey, seemingly making them Ohio State’s biggest competition for him.

Carey unofficially visited with Florida already this spring, and all signs point to the visit going as well as possible. Additionally, Miami quickly visited with Carey following its defeat to Indiana in the national title game. Ohio State’s coaching staff also recently…

The American has featured in 47 games, starting 20, since first being drafted in 2023. He has registered 100 tackles, 7.5 sacks, nine passes defended and two forced fumbles during his time with the 49ers and Patriots.

  • Where Seahawks rank among every Super Bowl champion since 2000

Where Seahawks rank among every Super Bowl champion since 2000

The Seattle Seahawks’ 29-13 win over the New England Patriots emphatically answered the question of which team was the NFL’s best in 2025. Seattle was the NFC’s top team during the regular season, and Sunday night’s complete domination of the Patriots made it clear that no team was more deserving of hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

A machine on both sides of the ball, Seattle allowed the fewest points in the NFL during the regular season and scored the third-most. Despite having the league’s toughest schedule, the Seahawks posted the best points differential (+246) by a Super Bowl champion since the 1999 Rams.

While nine of their wins were double-digit outcomes, Seattle was capable of winning close games, too. In fact, the Seahawks’ most critical win during the regular season was their come-from-behind overtime win over the Rams in Week 16 that saw them overcome a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit.

Seattle was No. 1 this season, but where do they rank among the other Super Bowl champions since 2000? Let’s find out.

    26. 2001 Patriots

The 2001 Patriots go down in history as New England’s first Super Bowl champion and one that authored one of the biggest upsets in Super Bowl history. The Patriots were not a dominant team, but they had an opportunistic, hard-hitting defense and a young, clutch quarterback in Tom Brady, who engineered the game-winning drive that finished off the heavily favored Rams. They also had a dynamic playmaker in Troy Brown, who in addition to being nearly a 1,200-yard receiver was the NFL’s best punt returner that season.

The 2001 Patriots scored just three offensive touchdowns in the playoffs, one in each postseason win, which is one of the main reasons why they are ranked here.

Instead of playing for overtime, Brady and the Patriots played for the win at the end of Super Bowl XXXVI. The Patriots won it all despite scoring just three offensive…..

  • Titans free agents 2026: Chig Okonkwo, Arden Key headline list

Titans free agents 2026: Chig Okonkwo, Arden Key headline list

The NFL offseason is here. Unfortunately, as Tennessee Titans fans, we have been waiting for this since about week three of the 2025 NFL season. That’s really been the case for us the last two years. The Titans need a really strong offseason to change that for us in 2026.

It starts with NFL free agency. The Titans are going to have somewhere around $100 million to spend this year. They won’t spend all of it in free agency, but they are going to be able to add some pieces to make the roster a lot better than it was last year. They can use help at just about every spot on the field.

The first step in the process is identifying guys they want to retain who are about to hit the market. There is a long list of guys who are going to hit the market.

    Titans pending free agents 2026

Chig Okonkwo is the one guy from that list whom I will be upset if they don’t end up re-signing. They cannot afford to let an offensive playmaker walk when they have so few of them.

Morgan Cox seems to be perennially on a one-year deal here since 2021. He’s one of the best long snappers in the league. They will probably try to bring him back again.

Jihad Ward is another guy I’d like to see back. He showed some flashes last season, and with their lack of depth in the EDGE group, he’s a valuable guy to have.

Which three from this list are the most important for the Titans to try to retain before they hit the market?

  • Former UNC football QB-turned-linebacker wins Super Bowl 60

Former UNC football QB-turned-linebacker wins Super Bowl 60

Football fans across the world tuned into Super Bowl 60 on Sunday night, with the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks battling in a rematch from 11 years ago.

Both teams locked into a defensive battle through the first three quarters, with Seattle holding a 12-0 lead until 30 combined points in the fourth. A pair of former UNC football stars, Drake Maye and Mack Hollins, connected for New England’s first score early in the fourth quarter.

While Maye and Hollins lost in their Super Bowl debuts, a 29-13 defeat, another former Tar Heel won his first Super Bowl trip.

Chazz Surratt, a quarterback-turned-linebacker who played at North Carolina from 2017-2020, was part of Seattle’s first Super Bowl-winning squad since 2013.

Through Surratt didn’t record a statistic, the Seahawks activated him from injured reserve days ahead of the Big Game. Surratt recorded 11 tackles in 11 regular season games for Seattle, playing primarily on special teams.

Surratt played quarterback for Larry Fedora in 2017, starting seven of the nine games he appeared in, compiling 1,341 passing yards and eight touchdowns. Surratt added 210 rushing yards and five more scored on the ground, then redshirted 2018.

When Surratt played again in 2019, he turned into a First Team All-ACC selection, finishing as runner up for ACC Defensive Player of the Year. In UNC’s COVID-shortened 2020 campaign, Surratt finished as a Bronco Nagurski Trophy (best linebacker in football) semifinalist.

Surratt began his NFL career with the New York Jets, which suffers from organizational-wide dysfunction to this day. Now with a winning team, Surratt is a Super Bowl Champion four years into his professional football career.

  • Super Bowl 60 halftime featured real wedding after Bad Bunny flipped invitation

Super Bowl 60 halftime featured real wedding after Bad Bunny flipped invitation

    Getty Images

When you invite international music icon Bad Bunny to your wedding, you know it’s a bit of a longshot. What about inviting him to your wedding only for him to turn around and invite you to tie the knot during his Super Bowl 60 halftime performance? That scenario became reality for one lucky couple on Sunday night.

Right before Lady Gaga made her surprise guest appearance at Levi’s Stadium, an officiant wed two people. That left everyone wondering whether it was real or part of the show. Well, the answer is both.

According to NBC Sports, that was a real wedding, and it came about after the couple invited Bad Bunny to their nuptials. Bad Bunny couldn’t make it because he was busy performing at the Super Bowl halftime show, but simply brought the wedding to Levi’s Stadium.

Including the wedding, Bad Bunny’s halftime show was quite the event. In addition to guest performances from Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, countless celebs could be spotted within the production. Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, Karol G and Cardi B were among the A-listers on the set. It was a historic performance, and fans were raving about it when the festivities were over.

The performance provided some much-needed energy in the building as the game on the field lacked for fireworks in the first half. The Seattle Seahawks took a 9-0 lead over the New England Patriots into the locker room before Bad Bunny took center stage.
