The divisional round of the NFL postseason is officially underway, and it started with a familiar face picking up a win. The Kansas City Chiefs advanced to the AFC Championship by beating the Houston Texans 23-14 on Saturday.

The Chiefs are now headed to the AFC title game for the seventh straight season, which is the second-longest streak in NFL history, trailing only the New England Patriots, who made eight straight appearances starting in 2011.

Kansas City is now just one win away from getting to the Super Bowl for the fifth time in six years. The Chiefs will now await the winner of the Ravens-Bills game. That showdown between Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen will be coming to you Sunday on CBS (stream on Paramount+)

In the NFC, the Detroit Lions will be hosting an upstart Washington Commanders team that’s coming off its first playoff win in 19 years. if the Commanders can pull off the upset in Detroit, they’d advance to the NFC title game for the first time since 1991. Washington currently has the NFC’s longest drought without a conference title game appearance.

In the NFC’s other divisional game, the Los Angeles Rams will be heading to Philadelphia to face the Eagles in what is expected to be a snow game. The Rams and Eagles have combined to represent the NFC in four of the past seven Super Bowls.
