Georgia quarterback Carson Beck undergoes surgery on ulnar ligament

Georgia quarterback Carson BEck is done for the season.

Beck was injured in the epic win over Texas in the SEC Championship Game.

He came on the field for one final play, handing off as Georgia won the game and title.

The buzz was Beck would not be back. On Monday, it became official. He had surgery on the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.

The surgery was successful. Rehab can be anywhere from five to 11 months.  Beck is a two-year starter and a redshirt senior.

“Georgia quarterback Carson Beck underwent successful surgery Monday on his right elbow to repair his ulnar collateral ligament (UCL), performed by renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles, Ca. A full recovery is expected with throwing to begin spring of 2025,” a statement said.

Beck threw for 3,485 yards, 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2024, completing 64.7% of his passes.

Gunner Stockton will start for the Dawgs against Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day.
