Throw out everything that you think, you know about the college football playoff and enter the 12 team playoff.
Here’s a couple of teams that could shake things up in the postseason, keep an eye on NC State to keep things interesting.
Former Coastal Carolina quarterback Grayson mccall transfers in with four years of starting experience under his belt and he’ll be paired with the reigning AC C rookie of the year and wide receiver Casey Concepcion and running back Jordan Waters who transfers in after an explosive year with Duke last season.
Plus the Wolfpack returned four out of the five starters on the offensive line.
NC State’s offense has the pieces to be explosive on top of a fairly manageable schedule.
If the Wolf pack can take down Tennessee and Charlotte early this season, then go on the road and beat Dabo Sweeney and the Tigers.
That could be just a strong enough resume to punch their ticket to the playoff.
Also do not sleep on Oklahoma while the Sooners could absolutely be considered dark horse contenders themselves.
The sec newcomers could really caused some postseason chaos by the sheer number of CFP contenders on their schedule.
They host Tennessee in week four, they take on rival Texas in Dallas, they host Alabama go on the road at Ole Miss and Missouri.
And finally round out the season at LSU, all teams that could find themselves competing for a playoff spot.
So no matter how Oklahoma’s season turns out they’ll have plenty of chances to spoil another contender’s path to the playoff.
